FIN!
Helen, Third Seat of Hajinn:

After I finish my deep-sea critter painting, I will be working on another painting set in the world of my novel (oils hopefully?). Architectural elements have always been my weak point, so look to see a lot of architectural sketches here in the next few weeks!

I really liked the sketch you posted before. This looks fantastic. I like the fierce look on her face.

In the sketch she was more angry, here she looks apprehensive. I think this is your best work Andrea, you're getting really good.

I love everything about it, from the different ways the earrings are blown to the detailed patches on the desert.

Oh, that's glorious!! She's so expressive, and I love the detailing. The only thing that jumps out at me - she's lacking a few shadows on the right side - you've got this strong light source, and her hair should be casting a shadow, particularly on her neck. Or, to make her hair look more like it's swept back, it needs to lose the shading it's got. (If the hair is going back, the light's going to be hitting it!) My 2 unrequested cents. :) The folds in the cloth are just wonderful.

Hrrmmm...I see your point. Really can't bring myself to touch it anymore though. I'll keep it in mind for the next painting though. Thanks!

BADASSS. I love the way the mountains and their shading slope up to her shoulders and lead your eyes to the similar shadowing of her face. The landscape is also really cool, sorta a great basin desert type deal. Beautiful scenery without being intrusive to the focus of the piece.

Also, half popped collar=awesome.

wow! This came out really good :D I love the lighting and shadows! I can't do lighting and shadows to save my life XD Architecture is hard too. All my subjects live in the vast emptiness of white space.
